Over the years I’ve spent hundreds of hours planning my own vacation itineraries. I’ve poured over blogs, books, review sites, NYT 36 hours articles, and carefully curating recommendations from friends. I have a passion for travel planning. My hope is that others (like you) can benefit from my research, too. If you identify as an adventurous, foodie-focused, culture-curious, active traveler, who loves to walk then you will love these itineraries. Enjoy!

14 Days in Japan

(2019). This itinerary flies in & out of Tokyo, and includes 5 days in Tokyo, 2 days in Hakone, 4 days in Kyoto, and 2 days in Kanazawa. I did this itinerary in the heat of August summer - the humidity was real! Ideal time of year is cherry blossom season (April / May), though you’ll fight the crowds + higher prices.

8 Days in Oaxaca, Mexico

(2019). This is a itinerary that truly explores Oaxaca de Juarez (the capital city) at a leisurely, low-stress pace. 8 nights all sleeping in the same location in city center, with a handful of half day trips into the rural parts of the state. Enjoy the best of Oaxaca: its incredible burgeoning foodie scene, and its three main productions: mezcal, chocolate, and coffee!

2 Days in Tilghman Island, Maryland

(2020). Much-needed weekend jaunt we took in the middle of COVID, just outside of Washington, DC along the Maryland bayside. Safe, distanced, delicious, scenic, and relaxing!

2 Days in San Luis Obispo, California

(2020). This university town is often overlooked by California locals and visitors alike, but has a lot to offer - horseback riding, cliffy beach hikes at breathtaking Montana de Oro State Park, university walks, and healthy local cuisine!

5 Days in Santa Barbara, California

(2020). Santa Barbara offers so much — sandy beaches walking distance from downtown, combined with great food and wine, especially for the health lover. Plus driving distance can very quickly get you to one of many spectacular hikes or wineries in the surrounding area.

5 Days in Antigua, Guatemala

(2019). This itinerary is perfect for pretty much ANY time of year. You’ll get 75 degrees and sunny, and a UNESCO heritage site town filled with cobblestone streets to explore, yoga to do, art to buy, Spanish lessons to partake in, and spas to relax in. Also, an extremely affordable itinerary — Everything from lodging to food to day trips are about 1/20th the cost of similar things in the US! The beautiful land of $8 Spanish classes, 20 cent tacos, and $35 Airbnb’s.

8 Days in Argentina

Buenos Aires urban food and adventures followed by a few days in Mendoza wine country. Enjoy summer in the middle of winter with this southern hemisphere adventure full of steak, hot chocolate, wine, yoga, and biking. This itinerary starts in the capital city of Buenos Aires (4 nights) followed by a more relaxing wine country getaway in Mendoza (4 nights). Consider tacking on 3 Days in Santiago at the beginning or end of this trip!

3 Days in Santiago

I did this short jaunt as a tack-on after Argentina before heading home (very short flight from Mendoza to Santiago). There are many longer (Patagonia-focused) itineraries that I will one day return to Chile for. This one is focused on a quick tour through Santiago & neighboring coastal town of X!

7 Days in Maui
